The Faculty of Organizational Sciences, as part of the University of Belgrade, is the leading faculty in Serbia and the region in the field of information systems and technologies, organization and management.

FON is an ideal place for all those who want to improve their skills in the field of advanced information technologies and modern business management. All study programs that have been implemented at FON, have a strong quantitative and informational foundation, forming the basis not only for organizational knowledge but also for knowledge directly pertinent to each specific study program. The attained professional title “graduate engineer of organizational sciences” belongs to the field of technical and technological sciences.

Choose Bachelor Studies

Study program Information Systems and Management (IS&M)

Undergraduate studies (Bachelor) – 4 years

The IS&M is an undergraduate (bachelor) program that aims to provide knowledge and skills in management, organization, business, informatics and quantitative methods and techniques. The program is an interdisciplinary program that combines knowledge in the field of information systems and technologies with management and organization and other management disciplines, the mathematical and quantitative understanding, which enables the student to make decisions and solve complex problems that lead to the achievement of strategic goals of the organization and successful management of the organization.
The program covers the following areas:
Field of informatics: programming, spreadsheets, system and database design, digital technologies, information technologies…
The field of management and operational management: business concepts in management, finance, organization, project management, marketing, HR, entrepreneurship, innovation and the field of operational management (production, LEAN concept, quality, logistics)…
Field of quantitative techniques: mathematics, statistics, probability, data analytics, operations research, data science, artificial intelligence…

PROGRAM STRUCTURE
First year: Fundamental knowledge of informatics, management and business
Second year: Extension of fundamental knowledge and addition of new courses.
Third year: Expand and deepen fundamental knowledge and add new advanced courses.
Fourth year: Specialization (determined by the choice of electives) and Internship.

Number semesters: 8 semesters. Each year has two semesters.
Number of ECTS credits all four years: 240 ECTS. 30 ECTS per semester
The course gains from 3 to 6 ECTS. Course regarding skills gains 3 ECTS.

Elective courses and specialization:
Students may choose elective courses based on their interests (information systems, management, or related fields) or career goals.
Internship:
The internship is required to be completed in a relevant industry.
Thesis:
The thesis should be written in order to apply knowledge that solves real issues.

What do we offer

The program provides students with the opportunity to apply management and business knowledge to knowledge in the fields of informatics and quantitative sciences. Students are trained to understand, develop and manage information systems and processes in the cooperative and public sectors. Students are trained to apply the knowledge and competencies of management, leadership and other management disciplines and functions to solve business management problems and create new business opportunities. Students get the knowledge they need to become good business-oriented engineers, i.e. engineers – IT specialists who understand business management, how to communicate, negotiate, efficiently and profitably organize and perform tasks, make decisions, find optimal solutions, manage people and projects, analyze data and the business environment, manage finances, market the product and satisfy the required markets.
