WHO WE ARE?

Faculty of Dentistry, Pančevo

The faculty has provided state-
of-the-art technologies, as well as an
adequate number of patients for the optimal work of every stu-
dent, specialist, and doctoral candidate. The task and role of the
teachers, in addition to education and upbringing, are to estab-
lish a process of continuous critical thinking in decision-making
among you, young people, to recognize your affinities and abili-
ties, and to shape and direct you in that direction.
The number of enrolled students per year, as well as the
number of teachers, assistants, and collaborators in teaching,
spatial capacities, and modern equipment, enable work in small
groups as well as individual work, providing each student with
the opportunity to master the prescribed curriculum and program
of theoretical classes and skills acquisition with sufficient quality.
By regular study and not missing exam sessions, students
can complete each academic year by the end of July of the current
school year and start the next school year on October 1st without
any deferred exams.
The goal of this Faculty is to have successful and satisfied stu-
dents who, with their work and knowledge, will be the best rep-
resentatives of the Faculty upon graduation

Study program Dentistry

In line with its vision, the faculty takes care of technical equipment because the main goal is to improve both the teaching process and clinical work with patients. In this regard, the faculty has a 3D orthopantomograph for diagnostics, CAD CAM system for computerized dental restorations, Er:YAG Nd: YAG laser for hard and soft tissues, a lamp for detecting precancerous lesions, a re- al-time camera for transmitting surgical and other procedures, allowing students to see all the details the performing doctor sees

Available places:

Integrated studies – 5 years

Integrated academic studies represent a combination of undergraduate and master’s studies and last for five years, earning 300 ECTS points. A candidate who has completed a four-year secondary school program (general or any vocational high school) and has passed the entrance exam can enroll in the first year of integrated studies. The order of candidates for enrollment in the first year is determined based on the overall success achieved in secondary education and the results obtained in the entrance exam. The Dental Faculty in Pancevo admits 77 candidates to the first year of Integrated Academic Studies. The curriculum is based on the adopted principles of the Bologna Declaration and the programs of eminent domestic and European dental faculties. The teaching program lasts for five school years and is organized through a total of 15 trimesters of teaching. The number of subjects and teaching per subject is fully aligned with the needs of practice and university education, ensuring the highest quality educational process. Upon completion of the studies and defense of the master’s thesis, the student earns the professional academic title of Doctor of Dentistry.

Phd studies – 3 years

Doctoral academic studies (DAS) at the Dental Faculty in Pancevo last for three years (9 trimesters) and carry a total of 180 ECTS points (60 per year of study). The purpose of the doctoral academic studies program in dentistry is to educate doctors of medical sciences – dentists, who, with their scientific potential, knowledge, and expertise, will fully meet the needs for such professionals in faculties and research institutions. The goal of the academic doctoral studies program is to transfer scientific knowledge, develop and advance science, and ensure a new generation of scientists in the field of dentistry.

SPECIALIZED ACADEMIC STUDIES

The study program of Specialized Academic Studies (SAS) at the Dental Faculty in Pancevo aims to educate dentists – specialists. Upon completion of the studies and the defense of the final specialist thesis, the student is awarded the academic title of Doctor of Dental Medicine – Specialist. The Faculty has accredited these studies for enrolling 20 students per year. Specialized academic studies last for three trimesters within one academic year, with a total of 60 ECTS points. During the first and second trimesters, students of specialized academic studies attend three courses each.
